In the 2019/2020 academic year, the selection process consisted of the following stages. Stage 1: Submitting an application that included an essay and a CV. Stage 2: Interview with two representatives of the Ampersand Foundation. Stage 3: Those who passed both previous stages were presented to Ampersand donors as potential candidates, and the three who received the most votes were offered scholarships.
Out of 25 active members of the community, 17 voted for their top three (or fewer) candidates. The distribution of the votes was the following:
